Mayor Rahm Emanuel is expected to announce this week plans for a $300 million 12,000-seat arena for DePaul University at McCormick Place — a proposal that will call for millions in taxpayer dollars, sources tell the Chicago Sun-Times.

Just FYI, De Paul plays 18 home games a year. What will they do with it the rest of the time?

I realize he was a six time NBA MVP, but they guy has wanted to coach ever since he retired. What is it about Kareem that is preventing him from becoming a head coach. The guy learned from the Wizard, he’s been a winner everywhere he played. But he’s never really received a sniff at a head coaching job in college or the NBA.
