He’s proposed a $300 million, publicly funded, De Paul basketball stadium to be built near McCormick Place.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel is expected to announce this week plans for a $300 million 12,000-seat arena for DePaul University at McCormick Place — a proposal that will call for millions in taxpayer dollars, sources tell the Chicago Sun-Times.

Just FYI, De Paul plays 18 home games a year. What will they do with it the rest of the time?

I realize he was a six time NBA MVP, but they guy has wanted to coach ever since he retired. What is it about Kareem that is preventing him from becoming a head coach. The guy learned from the Wizard, he’s been a winner everywhere he played. But he’s never really received a sniff at a head coaching job in college or the NBA.

Tired & Too Much Pressure

On Monday, Te’o blamed his poor performance during the 40-yard dash on the overall stress of the Scouting Combine.

“I was running near a 4.6, a 4.5,” Te’o told NFL Network after officially clocking a 4.82-second 40-yard dash. “Today was just a long, long day.”

Te’o called the Combine a “very exhausting process,” explaining that he got to bed late and got up early, with roughly four hours of sleep per night.

We should just take his word of course that he can run a 4.5 - 4.6.

And yes, the combine is a lot of pressure. And exhausting.

All scouts know that NFL training camp and regular season not too mention the playoffs pale in comparison to the rigors of the combine.
