This is amazing. How the hell could a hand picked team be this out of synch?

The French World Cup soccer team refused to practice Sunday after their striker was expelled from the team.

Striker Nicolas Aneka was removed from the team after he was involved in a profanity laced tirade against coach Raymond Domenech.

Along with the loss of a team leader, team director Jean-Louis Valentin also resigned because he was fed up with the team.

The worst-kept secret going into the WC for the French was that their coach is a lame duck coach. Everyone knows he is getting fired after the tournament. Looks like they should have done it sooner to stop a mutiny.

There are French sites claiming (facetiously) that the team needs to sign Allen Iverson to bolster the defense now. That is one of the kinder things I’ve found.
