A little known fact about this “Crosstown Cup” thing is along with the trophy, the winning team gets 250 lbs. of shrimp already packed in oil.

I think Cubs definitely have their work cut out for them. I hope Lou has plenty of bourbon on hand..He’s going to need it.

It was good to see Ted Lilly pitch so well and Gavin Floyd has given up 3 runs in his last 29 innings over his last four starts and yet only has a loss and three no-decisions to show for it. He has won once since April 29 and is the best 2-7 pitcher in the majors.

I’m surprised that they haven’t used that “Cup” to plug the oil in leak in the Gulf. They tried just about everything else.
