So let’s see...what have we learned about the 2010 Chicago Bears?
Jay Cutler: Gonna be eating more grass than a whole herd of diary cows. Not to mention he hasn’t yet conquered color blindness as he still can’t distinguish the color of his receiver’s jersies from those of the opponents covering them.
The O-Line: Should be sponsered by Ex-Lax because they let defenders run through them like crap through a goose.
The Defense: Those D-backs cover receivers like deer caught in headlights on a dark Wisconsin highway. Injuries to Urlacher & Briggs ain’t helping either.
Special Teams: Whatever disease is affecting the rest of the team has now apparently infected what was the only good thing the Bears had until now.
Coaching: Does Martz still think this team is more talented than the St. Louis Rams teams he coached? Will Mike Tice’s liver disintergrate from excessive drinking after watching the offensive line he coaches all season? Will Rod Marinelli finally tell Lovie Smith to shove Cover-2 up his ass? Will Lovie Smith even survive the season as head coach?
The only bright spots seem to be:
Julius Peppers who is still a deadly pass rusher.
Chester Taylor who can now show just how good he is now that he doesn’t have to play in Adrian Peterson’s shadow, but unfotunately, he’s stuck playing behind the Bears’ O-Line which means he’s basically on his own.
And Dan LeFevour looks like he can actually play quarterback.
From what I see right now, the Bears’ record will contain the numbers 10 & 6, but it’ll be 6 wins and 10 losses...Detroit is going to end up with a better record at this point.
