No it’s not.  I’m sorry to report these actions are not uncommon.  I speak of both the police response in beating this guy, but also the police confusing a diabetic incident for intoxication.  I wonder why we have not seen video of this incident.  I saw a video from Northeast Indiana of a cop doing his best brian Urlacher on a guy who was just standing there, but not responding “appropriately” to another cop.  There was a guy in Northwest Indiana who suffered all this abuse, had a heart attack and died.  The police review in both of these incidents found no officer misconduct.  I suspect the review of the ohio incident also absolved the cops for their actions.  fortunately, the federal jury will get an opportunity to address their actions.

Here’s my warning to start the holiday season.  Be especially careful.  If you are at a party, limit yourself to one drink per hour and don’t drive for two hours after your last drink.  If you are going to party hard, get a limo, a taxi or a hotel room.  It will be much less expensive and much more safe.
