Wow, Jay! You have officially graduated from being an obnoxious, controlling, abusive, has-been sports writer to being a lie-spewing, vindictive and delusional “fiction” writer. Because, apart from being smarmy and pathetic, “The System” is a figment of your sick imagination (facts about your lame sports career aside.) I think your Napoleon complex has finally gotten the better of you!
I KNOW that much of what you write about “Alison W.” is total bull because I was present on several of the occasions you cite. I have SEEN you behave in a jealous, controlling manner while with Alison. I was THERE to help Alison the morning after you terrorized, battered, and abused her on Aug. 20th. I SAW the scrapes and bruises and her phone that “fell to the ground.” Yeah, maybe if it fell from the Empire State Building! That phone was broken into 20 pieces! I SEARCHED the parking lot on Main St. where your “discussion” began with Alison W. to help her recover the contents of her purse that you threw all over creation. I was THERE when the police came to take pictures of her bruises. They certainly thought that she was credible. I was also present on the sailing trip the day before your attack on her, where she was absolutely NOT so drunk that she fell down repeatedly and had to be helped up by several people. Both myself and the owner of the boat gave official statements stating that fact to your own attorney’s investigator. Hmmm. I guess you missed that memo. Alison W. most definitely did not sustain the bruises she presented to the police on the morning of August 20th while sailing the day before, as you suggest. Sorry, buddy. You get full credit for her bruises and battery.
I was also present at the Club 310 in Santa Monica the night you came in AFTER Alison W. did, saw her, gave her the finger, and stormed out like a hopping mad leprechaun. To your credit, you did leave promptly. That time. Unfortunately, Jay, you are ubiquitous in Santa Monica and Venice. A person cannot spit on Main St. or on Abbot Kinney without hitting you. To suggest that Alison W. was stalking you is laughable and pathetic! She had moved on with her life and was healing from the abuse she suffered while involved with you. She has the same right as any other citizen to eat and drink at any of the establishments in her neighborhood.
Furthermore, you are no more a victim of physical abuse from Alison W. than I am the Queen of England! Alison is about as threatening as a piece of sponge cake. To suggest that you were a victim of her relentless physical abuse only makes you look like a bigger loser than everyone already thinks you are! Get a life and get some help!
Lastly, to use your media connections to attempt to further inflict emotional abuse on Alison W. is even lower than I though you would go. Shame on you.
To the potential purchaser of “The System” - Don’t waste your money!
