I am wondering why the Sox continue to be outdrawn by the hapless Cubs at the turnstiles. Cubs fans have to be the most loyal fans in the majors. Why is Wrigley Field being filled to 90.1 percent of capacity while Cellular Field is only filled to 51.9 percent of capacity. Sox are 27th in the majors, while Cleveland is the worst with only 41.9 percent of capacity.
Cubs are 4th in errors in the NL with 14. Giants lead with 19, then Padres, 16, Rockies, 15 and then the Cubs.
Cubs led the NL in errors in 2011 with 134 errors and since the season is ten percent over they are on track to have 140 this season.
Great to see Alex Rios hitting again. He is hitting .389 in his last 10 games. Konerko is hitting .362 to lead the Sox in batting average. Pierzynski is next at .348, then Rios is third at .333, which is 65 points higher than fourth place DeAza at .268. Rios takes a 10 game hitting streak into today’s game with the A’s and has hit safely in 11 of 13 games this season.
