Someone (a die hard Cub fan), trying to make fun of me for being a Sox fan, asked me why the Cubs have a better attendance record than the Sox.
I told him the answer is simple. It’s because there are more insane baseball fans in Chicago than sane ones.
I mean how else can you explain the fact that there are more people excited about a last place team winning two games in a row after losing 12 straight than there are over a first place team winning 7 in row? Freud would have a field day in Chicago.
The silence was deafening.
