Hope Axelrod pitches as well as Quintana has. If he does we might see a Peavy, Sale, Floyd, Quintana and Axelrod rotation, till John Danks returns, then Danks would probably take Axelrod’s place.

Fukudome’s departure should insure Jordan Dank’s spot as an extra outfielder. White Sox like the Cubs have found out that Fukudome is washed up. I will be shocked if another team picks him up.

Humber to the DL guarantees Quintana playing time. Fukudome to the nether-realms allows Jordan room to grow. And Sale throwing an 8 inning shut out only to earn a no decision has to give JR a reason to get a GM who knows how to assemble a team.

What happened to the Sox offense? Peavy and Sale have allowed one earned run in the last 17 innings and neither has a win to show for it. Scoring 5 runs in the last 4 losses is not conducive to playing winning baseball. I bet JR is not too happy with the production coming from third base:

Brent Morel - 0 HR, 5 RBI, .177 - Morel is slugging .195 and has an OBP of .225, while posting an OPS of .420, not to mention him being being 54th in MLB with his .177 batting average.

Orlando Hudson - 1 HR, 10 RBI, .160 - Is hitting 51 points lower than the .211 he hit for the Padres, before joining the White Sox.

Eduardo Escobar - 0 HR, 1 RBI, .190

The three players have hit 1 HR and drove in 16 runs in almost half a season. I thought third base was supposed to be a power position.

I have no idea what’s wrong with the hitting. It’s like someone found their off switch. Even Konerko has a hole in his bat.

Don’t worry.

There is still a lot of baseball left to be played.

Jerry Reinsdorf has it tough this season.

The team kinda sucks. But the division sucks even worse.

His General Manager sucks. That wasn’t the case more than a few seasons ago. But he does now.

Yet, the team is kinda still competitive in a non-competitive crap division.

But somebody has to win the AL Central right?

But at what price? Keeping JF/BP around with that $20+ million owed next season? Even the buyout costs $4 million.

Sell JF/BP? Now? When a team out there might just have enough glue and duct tape to keep the bastard together?

Buy? Win a crap divisional title and get killed in the playoffs? Sell? Get killed for waving another white flag?

22,000 or so at the ballpark? That is fan support? Really?

This is quite something. Even third base has a designated positional player.

Jordan Danks is gonna save the White Sox? Well no. Is this the time for the kid to come up?

Danks > Fukudome right now? Does that help to win the division?

Are the Sox buyers/sellers win now/win later?

All or none of it?

I dunno.

I’m guessing neither does KW.

Fire the bastard. It is time.

Konerko hit into 2 DP’s last night and 10 for the season already in 63 games. Last season he had 14 GIDP’s in 149 games. Know he is no speed demon, since he has had more than 1 stolen base in a season when he stole 2 bases. That gives him only 9 stolen bases in 16 years. He is making Cal Ripken Jr. look fast who had 36 SB’s in his career.
