Ozzie was really steamed last night after his team came back from a 9-2 deficit to the Brewers to tie the game at 11-11 at the end of nine innings. Marlins went ahead 12-11 in top of 10th, but Aramis Ramirez hit a two-run walkoff home run to win the game 13-12.

With the Marlins in a 7-19 streak, it was bound to happen.

See ESPN says Sox have 81.7 percent chance of making the playoffs, while Cleveland is only 2 games behind Sox and has only 18.9 percent chance of going to playoffs.

An eruption of Mt. Ozzie had to happen sooner or later. Ozzie’s not happy unless he blows up once in awhile.

I can see Ozzie being mad, but why spare Heath Bell who has 5 blown saves on the 4th of July? He is earning $6 million in this first year of a $33 million contract, so he should be accountable. His 6.39 ERA this season is almost 4 runs more than his 2.44 ERA of last season, so why protect him? He can’t pick and choose who to rant about.

Ozzie’s basic point that it wasn’t Bell’s fault that the team gave up a dozen runs earlier was valid.

Ozzie should be happy tonight. Brewers were ahead of Marlins 5-1 early in the game but the Marlins won 7-6 in 10 innings. Heath Bell got his 18th save.
