Can someone explain why, after making an emergency landing in Houston (on their way to Florida) the plane could not take off again and fly directly to Florida?

Love this comment: “The government is running the online conversation desperately trying to conceal the truth from leaking out about the coup and cover up.”

Yeah, because the government is heavily vested in a POS airline (flew them once, never again). Oy,

They should have just tossed the 86 year old blind frenchy out at 30,000 feet he would have never seen it coming.

I sure those world famous strip clubs Houston has to offer played a part in the pilots decision to follow mandated FAA flight rules…

FAA regulations regarding how long flight crews can fly I would imagine. I know on international flights pilots can only fly so many hours before having to be relieved by another pilot. Maybe they considered the delay part of the actual on duty time.

I thought of that also.  But how much time does it actually take to get an unruly blind guy off the plane and head back into the sky?  I’m pretty sure there’s some leeway in a situation such as this.  It also depends on what counts toward that time requirement.  Is it actual time away from the gate or is it time once the pilot steps inside the plane or in the airport?

Well, it does say the passengers were kept on the plane sitting on the tarmac for two hours (presumably not at the gate). I would have to assume at least some of the crew were still on the plane during that time if not the pilots as well. I’m thinking thaose two hours counted towrad the time limit.
