Dempster is up to 32 scoreless innings. Cubs up 4-0 in the 6th.

They may go 50-31 yet.

Marmol sucks but Cubs hang on for a 4-1 victory.

Shame the Cubs are going to trade Dempster. His ERA of 1.86 is the lowest in the majors. No wonder there are 10 teams wanting to trade for him. Guess the Cubs will lose Dempster, Garza and LaHair in the next two weeks.

Dempster is gone. Garza? Doubtful. The Cubs have him for two more years and would have to b stunned by the offer to get rid of him. LaHair? No. They’ll keep him to just to protect Rizzo.
