The legal limit in Minnesota is .08 why did the wardens even charge him?

My guess is they knew it would be good copy, lets nail this guy who’s somebody and it will make the common folk squrim.

What’s disgusting to me is that the guy plead to a misdemeanor. It’s not illegal to drink and drive. It’s only illegal to be impaired (or intoxicated depending on the statute) or to be over the proscribed limit. If this guy is a United States Citizen, he may be unable to do his job as Canada has restrictions on admission to foreigners who have these types of convictions.

Certainly the linked report does not have full details, but the arrest and subsequent conviction do not pass the sniff test.
