$25 MIL for Jeremy Lin & $20 MIL for Omer Asik? 2 bench players? Am I missing something?

This was last week’s news.

GarPax proclaimed offseason maneuvering would be player and not financial based.

GarPax also proclaimed that any offer for Asik would be matched.

GarPax lied twice.

Only a complete fucking idiot would actually believe that tanking the season on purpose and drafting a lottery pick is the answer to finding a #2 for Rose.

And that is exactly what GarPax is counting on.... that complete fucking idiot to actually believe this is a good idea.

Don’t be that complete fucking idiot. And then just maybe, GarPax will be justifiably fired.

I am not that idiot, although many would doubt the veracity of that statement. I’m just confused by what the Rockets are doing.

My original question still stands. The rockets have locked almost $50 MIL into two reserves for the next three years and both contracts are heavy on the back end.
