Oh I want it.

Bad.

Too bad everyone else just seems to be waiting around until I show up {a little fuel there to the fire}

Legend has it that Dempster fucking okay’ed a deal to Atlanta before all that shit started. Otherwise why would Theogime even bother swapping spit with the Braves?

Theogime is not Cap’n/Hendry fucking stupid. They would have first asked.

Dempster is a bit of an Benedict Arnold. And a complete dick. Just ask his wife {more fuel}.

Furthermore it might just have been Mad Dog down in Texas saving Theogime’s collective hide to twist Ryan’s arm (when not entangled with MINO’s FACE {a lot of fuel} to take Dempster and his book of jokes.

Just saying.

As for Maholm, yeah the guy seems to be not completely terrible. Yet anyway.

Atlanta was pissed. Theogime needed to move spare parts like Reed Johnson and get something in the process.

Thank Dempster for closing the book on Maholm as an alternative package deal.

Anyway, what is not really discussed (because most here cannot grasp such things) is that a 35 something NL lifer like Dempster is now in the AL and under the gun to perform well for next season’s contract while going through personal turmoil.

Yeah, good luck with that dude.

At least in Atlanta, Dempster would’ve been familiar with opposing bats.

Tack on the DH. And overall stiffer hitting. The guy is going to get shelled.

And I couldn’t be happier.

Yeah, the AL is a bit of a surprise to me as well but, hey, what’s done is done and it’s just a shame that the White Sox are done with the Rangers unless they meet in the playoffs.

If you are insinuating that the current White Sox lineup would light up Dempster like a Christmas tree.....

..... then I would have to agree.

Dempster is a free agent at the end of this season.

He can sign with any team he wishes.

Logic should suggest that pitching for Atlanta in more familiar (and easier) NL surroundings should garner more bang for his buck in the offseason than Texas.

But funnyboy apparently does not see it that way.

His problem now.

well that’s my point about going to an AL team… but really that shouldn’t be that big of a deal--- it’s not like the DHs are any good at hitting baseballs.... so who the fuck cares right?
I say he’s right back with.... ummmmm the oakland A’s next year.... I just rewatched money ball....

He’ll end up in Japan.

Heard Dempster on the radio this morning explaining why he’s okay with being traded to Texas rather than Atlanta. I didn’t hear the whole thing, but part of it was he was a little familiar with the Rangers organization since they were ones who originally drafted him. He seems to think this was a better situation for him.

Whether the Cubs got anything good prospect-wise won’t be known for a couple years at least.

Everyone is praising KW for the Youkilis, Liriano and Myers deals. Admittedly they were damn good ones, but at the same time I wonder if he would have even needed to deal for Liriano if he hadn’t screwed the pooch and gave Danks a $65 million contract instead of giving Buehrle his $54 million. I always kind of believed that Danks wasn’t worth that kind of money.

Danks is a very good #3. So I’m a little perplexed as well. But we can’t go back and change that so we may as well laud Luriano.
