Suspended 50 games.

“My positive test was the result of my use of a substance I should not have used,” Cabrera said in a statement issued by the MLB Players Association. “I accept my suspension under the Joint Drug Program and I will try to move on with my life. I am deeply sorry for my mistake and I apologize to my teammates, to the San Francisco Giants organization and to the fans for letting them down.”

I wonder if that apology is a preprinted form given out by MLBPA, with the name of the team left blank to be filled in by the offender.

This suspension was too light.  His efforts to hide his actions should have increased his penalty. Although i’m disgusted that the federal government is now investigating his actions.  Get a life Jeff Novitsky.  How about investigating real crime that hurts people instead of wasting governmetn resources.

Yup, Jeff Novitsky should prosecute cops for arresting drunk drivers.

You know, the “real” crime…

Boy you’re clever.  How about the real crime of wall street types defrauding the american public by posing worthless stock as valuable to make millions off of trade transaction fees then getting government money because they are too big to fail.  How about prosecuting under RICO those same banking firms who manipulated interest rates to favor themselves and then failed to pass along those reduced rates to their customers (the american public).  The only wall street crimes being prosecuted are the Bernie Madoff types who stole from the one percent, not the one percenters who stole from the rest of the country.

How about prosecuting those people (corporations) who knowingly polluted the water you drink and air you breathe?  How is killing us slowly via these methods any better than if they were immediate with it and put a gun to someone’s head and pulled the trigger.

No let’s spend millions of dollars to sniff Barry Bond’s jock to see if it tastes like steroids.  Spending millions of dollars to investigate Marion Jones was also a wise move.  Did they show one instance of anyone taking steroids because they wanted to be like Marion?  Look at the Roger Clemons trial, both of them were a farce.  They couldn’t even get their evidence together the first time.  They are lucky they even got a second bite at the apple and got nothing.  zero, zilch nada.

How about the John Edwards case.  Exactly what did that prove?  The only thing it cemented was that John Edwards is a pretty boy dip shit.

That’s ok though BS (an appropriate handle I think) keep attacking me.  You’re not going to run me off like you have others.  You think you’re a wit, but you’re only half right.

I find it ironic that a lawyer that puts drunks back on the road would attack another lawyer for prosecuting alleged frivolous crimes.

Crimes that involve illegal drugs.

Oh well.

And perhaps, I’m only “half right” but at least it is the BETTER half.

Half empty. Half full. Half right. Half wrong. Half black. Half white… All grey…

Or was it your intention to use the word “wit” counselor?

Please stick around.

Your biased rants about the injustices of the world especially toward conservative issues and law enforcement entanglements equally intrigue and delight me.

And the best part?

It is free.

Thank you.

Again you miss the point.  What I do is protect the individual from an overbearing government.  I cannot put anyone in jail.  A police officer can, by his very actions, take away the liberty of innocent people regularly.  A friend of my girlfriend was arrested last Friday night on a dui charge.  He was taken to the police station and blew under the legal limit on their breath test machine.  Did the police take him back to his car and let him go?  No they charged him with DUI.  They forced him to post a bond, and take time off of work to go to court where the judge immediately dismissed the charge.  The guy is out his bond money.  He’s out the towing charge for his vehicle. He’s out the storage fee the lot charged him for keeping his car for 48 hours because they were closed after he was released from jail and he had to wait until they reopened on Monday.  He’s also out the time from work.

The news is regularly filled with articles of people who spent years in jail only to be proven to be factually innocent of crimes like rape and murder.  People only focus on the injustice the innocent party incurred.  They fail to recognize that the real culprit has been on the streets to rape and murder again (as we found in Texas recently).  In Illinois there were 13 people released from death row who were factually innocent.  They didn’t do it.  They weren’t there.  They had no part in any way with the killings.  Thirteen.  Texas has actually killed two people in the last ten years who were later proven to be factually innocent.

It’s this type of injustice that makes my blood boil and should make yours as well.  I suspect you would be just like Rush Limbaugh if you got popped for weed.  You’d hire the best lawyer you could find, assert all of your constitutional rights and seek to suppress everything the cops discovered and said in their reports.  You’d also be complaining about how the cops lied all through those reports.

Our system lets cops and prosecutors lie with impunity.  That needs to stop.  They give judges complete immunity.  Think of the judge in Pennsylvania who sent hundreds of kids to juvenile detention because he was getting a kickback from the facility for each kid he sent there.  He had complete civil immunity from the kids, whose lives he affected.

Name me prosecutor besides Mike Nifong, of Duke Lacrosse fame, who has been disciplined to the extent of Mr. Nifong.  You can bet your ass, if it was the school was a non-elite school, he would never have been disciplined at all.  He made the mistake of wrongfully taking on the kids of very wealthy people.

Go back and read my post on Dante Stallworth.  I was one of the first to suggest that he could be guilty of DUI even accepting his claim of not drinking for 8 hours before the accident.  I believe I hit his BAC dead on.  I protect people from overreaching governmental action.  If you don’t understand that concept, perhaps you should take an on-line civics course.

As to wit, I used the word intended.  You are half right in some of your postings, but half right on some topics is incorrect in conclusions.  As I have said before, I’m not sure what makes you happy other than attacking others.  I don’t know if it’s an inferiority complex where you cannot be happy unless you’re attacking others or if you think It makes you appear wiser by attacking others, but your act is growing tiresome.

I don’t attack people.

I challenge posts.

Especially of the infomerical type “dui_attorney”.

Hey, BBB put out a front page post? Ever write one of those?

Not so easy as it might appear.

But go ahead DUI. Keep posting your brochures.

And when I get popped for a weed bust, I’ll call the other guy.

Oh please stop with the Republican Revisionist History attempts.  You’ve attacked Yannick Noah, Lovie Smith, Jay Cutler, Ozzie Guillen, Rick Telender, just to name a few, for whatever imperfections exist in your mind.  You’ve attacked many of the posters on this site, and probably other sites as well as i suspect you’re an equal opportunity attacker.

I admit I’ve laughed at some of your jokes.  I’ve agreed with some of your posts.  But to suggest you’re purely engaging in a discourse of ideas is laughable.

Sadly the other site shutdown sometime ago.

I’m exclusive right here.

Actually, once upon a time I stood up for Gump. Ask around (Will loved it BTW). But then he went full retard. And yes, he deserves to now be fired.

And TelAnder? Same deal but less notoriety. Until he went full retard regarding brain damage. In the same vein as your heroic stance against drunk drivers not being allowed to drive drunk.

Have you read Bill’s front page post yet?

Don’t miss out (again). It is quite exquisite.

I’ve read it but I do not see how it’s relevant to this thread or these posts.  Nice diversionary tactic.

Okay. No problem!
