Even though it’s only minor a minor league team , would this restart the Hall of Fame waiting period?

Would you laugh if he failed a minor league piss test? I know I would.
I would, like Jim Carrey in Dumb and Dumber.

Only a return to the major leagues would restart his waiting period.

Actually, if this were an MLB minor league team it would push back his HOF ceremony.

Roger Clemens is not going to be inducted in the HOF anytime soon.

Actually I think this may be a way to avoid the embarrassment of not being a first ballot inductee. If he extends the time period by five years, the “outrage” will have subsided and he would likely be a lock for a first ballot induction.

The embarrassment is the dumbness surrounding “first ballot HOFer” - a manufactured “honor” simply to make the writers feel self-righteous (important).
The player is either a HOFer or not.
Fuck it, the entire election process is stupid.

Nope. This league is independent and does not count toward anything in MLB.

Coming soon to the Astros ?
Clemens has said in the past that he isn’t worried about getting elected to the Hall of Fame, but delaying his eligibility not only would move him off next year’s crowded ballot, but also could help soften the voters’ perception of him over time.
Who predicted this? Was it DUI or Nostradamus?
