Yes indeed findarticles.com no longer archives F***tard’s Sun-Times alleged columns*.
Thanks, Tyrone. I’m just trying to fill part of the void that you’ve left. I’m looking forward to a post from you (didn’t you say that there might be one tomorrow?).
Well, now that your cherry is popped, maybe you’ll do more. You should. In the meantime, in honor of this day, I give you a cherry instead of a banana!

Bill, you don’t know how many sick, twisted, demented thoughts that image arouses. Thanks.
Last night on “Chicago Tonight,” Joel Weisman and John Callaway both mentioned the possible demise of the Chicago Sun-Times. That still wouldn’t account for the cleansing of Tinky’s archives. Anybody know if it was done for other columnists?

Somewhat, most of the archives go back to (at least) 2006. Only F***tard’s seems to have been completely gutted.
For some tedious research I suppose you could go through microfilm files at your local library & print out articles, scan them & run them through some sort of recognition software. Or whoever has the dough, subscribe to Lexis/Nexis.

Thanks, bones. Back in the early 1970s, I tried my hand at writing some fiction about Chicago during the 1960s. I did a lot of research at the Chicago Public Library. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately for those with any literacy taste) that project never came to fruition.
I’ve always been a believer that information should be free. Knowledge is priceless and should be available to all.
Quite frankly, with the advent of the internet, I don’t even know if microfilm/microfiche is still used. Blocking access to archival information smacks of bean counters attempting to improve revenue streams, or paranoid scriblers covering their tracks. Thing is, it’s still out there somewhere.
Well, this is new .... CLICK HERE and then scroll down to tthe bottom. The ST is opening an archive (it just isn’t done yet). For a mere $3.00 an article you can catch up on all your favorite Jay-isms.
Like anyone would want to pay $3.00 a pop to read literary sewage
There is a young lady I know. She is a bartender and a fan of Mariotti’s. Yes, he* has one. Last fall, after the Sox dismal season, she said “Why don’t they just sign Santana and Sabathia? If they did that they’d be fine.” -she’s busting out her AMEX as I type
