The Washington Redskins love to overpay for Drew Rosenhaus clients. This is perfect. Hope Briggs enjoys “being the man” of a bunch of D.C. pigs.

I think we should be able to get more for one of the top linebackers in the league.  In my humble no especrt opinion.  I think an addtional pick would be nice.  Perhaps their fourth round also.  I would try for the third.  But what do I know.

Before they do a deal they should have Wilbur Marshall give Briggs a call. Let him know what it is like to be the man on a crap team. Tell him how his individual stats will drop when he is the one being double teamed. Briggs is a dope.

What the hell do the deal. Just ask the Redskins to throw in one of those big orange coolers and 3 packs of gatorade.

Bears should fight a little bit more for a better deal and then take it-- bye bye Briggs- like Happy meals for season- supersized- the entire team
What a douchebag-- why would you be happy being the “main dude” on a shitty team? Briggs is comitting career suicide.

Seems like all of Rosenhaus clients ultimate end up as a Redskin, Cowboy, Raider or member of the Buzz Saw. Says a lot for that group of NFL owners. Only F***tard could argue IN FAVOR of Drew Next Question Rosenhaus.

More proof that Rosenhaus is a jack ass.

Trib Article

I say if all of the owners had any balls they would just let the malcontents sit out for a year. Nothing will clear your mind like working the drive-thru at a fast food joint.

If Briggs continues to piss and moan let him sit and franchise his cry-baby ass next year too. Two years with no salary, how would that feel?

Briggs arrived at NFL owners meetings from Tucson, where he played at the University of Arizona, after Angelo suggested the one-on-one meeting. Before the meeting, however, Rosenhaus took Briggs on a tour of national media outlets and introduced him to executives from other teams attending the NFL owners’ meetings.

Whether Lance Briggs like it or not, his contract is the property of the Chicago Bears. Under the CBA, he is the Bears franchise player.

Having stated that fact, why the hell is Rosenahus allowed to flaunt his agent to other NFL teams? How is this activity not considered tampering?

That is the million dollar question, or in this case multimillion dollar question.  The guy is slime.  He gives all slimeball agents an worse rep.  But that is a good question.  As far as I know, the Bears have not allowed him to go and seek a trade.  I dont know this for a fact, but as far as I have heard the Bears are expecting him to play this year.  There has to be something illegal about this.  It all becomes null and void if their is a trade or trade talks are permitted, however, if the Bears are trying to get him signed this is giving him leverage that he really doesnt have nor should he get based on the guide lines of the CBA.  I really do loathe that man.

Drew Rosenhaus will kill the NFL a lot faster than Pacman Jones ever could.

Roger Goodell needs to get his house in order.

I just got an image of a bunch of NFL football players standing in a dark gym wearing Under Armor apparel looking at Next Question and yelling, “You must respect OUR house!!!!” Then a major beat down occurs.  I would pay to see that.

The problem is that these owners are hardly united. F***tard.s such as Jerry Jones, Dan Snyder, Al Davis and whoever the hell owns the Buzz Saw play by their own rules and not in the best interests of the NFL. Pioneering owners such as Lamar Hunt and Wellington Mara must have been disgusted by these F***tard.s.

From CNNSI courtesy of the Tinky Times.
Drew Rosenhaus, Lance Briggs’ agent, said Monday that his client will line up for the Bears next season—but only on a limited basis if the team refuses to remove the franchise tag it put on the linebacker. Rosenhaus said Briggs would sit out the first 10 games, then return for the final six to accrue a played season under league rules.
-- Chicago Sun-Times

If Briggs were to pull that crap he and Rosenhaus are the ultimate slimy duo.

It has been done before.  Joey Galloway did it up in Seattle.  And I think Terry Glenn did it while at GB maybe?  There are a few other examples.  It is a bargaining chip that they do have.  However, he does lose over half a year of salary and he can also be franchised again next year.  I am all for the ReFRanchising of Lance Briggs.

Hey guys,

New post up about the possible Briggs trade. I wanted to illustrate the potential value of a pick swap by taking a little trip down Bears draft memory lane.  Feel free to keep discussing Briggs.

As a subquestion ... who is your least favorite first round pick in Chicago Bear history?
