It simply isn’t right for these 40 staff members to be fired without ownership being 100% committed to turning around the franchise.
This would be huge news (and widely denounced) if it involved any other organization.
Jordan is supposed to be in charge of player matters and yet is in Dubai during the basketball season.
Simply put, Jordan the player would absolutely hate Jordan the owner.

Michael Jordan is supposed to be in charge of basketball operations in Charlotte. Not Dubai.
And it should not be accepted that his absence negatively impacts his employees.
Whether or not those 40 jobs would still be intact had he been more involved is open for debate. However, they are out of work while the boss is playing the casinos.
