Nice post Bill. I wonder when the rest of the list will be found in someone’s dumpster and made public.

Fantastic post Bill.  There was a interesting interview this morning on Mike and Mike with Faye Vincent.  He had a lot of praise to hand to Fehr.  He gave him credit for sueing the owners over collusion and really establishing free agency.  The highest paid player when he took over was Michael Jack Schmidt at 2.1 million a year and now its ARod at roughly 30 million .  Fehr also thwarted an attempt by the owners in 1994 to crush the union.  While Selig gets a lot of the blame for it, Vincent said that he felt partially responsible for not being more persuasive in convincing the owners that trying to get rid of the union was a bad idea.

The fact is Fehr got what he could when he could for the players. That was his job. But, a little more thought on his part as to the ramifications of those actions might have saved everyone a lot of trouble.

I think a lot of that had to do with his mentality and professional background.  He was an attourney.  And its get what you can and who cares about anyone else.  That was another thing that was interesting about the Faye interview.  He mntioned that Fehr might be the last of the bare knuckle negociaters.  The guy who is going to replace him has a background in business and in theory should be more receptive to ideas to better both sides but we shall see.

Yes it does. Just FYI, they had this on the BBC. He was fucking when they arrived. I am not sure who among us would have broken rhythm at that point to pee in a cup. Actually, I am not sure I could.

That’s what I thought too. And if it was a BJ, what man among us would’ve stopped her?

De Fehr only resigned from the Union because he will soon be named the Czar of Baseball.

Think about it.

Even Lake Fucking Michigan now has its Czar.

I can’t lavish much praise on Donald Fehr. IMO, his everything for the players at the expense of the game mentality is part of what gave rise to culture in which steroids thrived. He’s bears a huge amount of the blame for the damage steroids has done to the game.

Fuck him. Good riddance.

This topic is old already. We’re bitchin’ about Iran.
