A new heavy metal band for Ed. Free Reign

Includes former Bear Marc Columbo. Glad to see Jerry Jones pays enough so these guys don’t have to moonlight.

Total thread derailment: Ed, if you like metal, especially Iron Maiden’s style, I recommend Wolf.

Dude, GWAR is awesome live!!!!  I see them every time they come into town.

Not a huge Maiden fan.  I tend towards Slipknot, Mudvayne and along those lines.  However, there is nothing finer then pulling out Master of Puppets and listening to that.

Are they opening for the Jonas Brothers?

Lovie Smith: We’re a good football team. I assume you coming here, you thought the same thing. Just stay with us, OK, and if you are dissatisfied with something in the past, leave it in the past. Think about the future. We plan on winning a lot of football games this year and those comments you are making, I think this will be the last time we hear them from you. - September 6, 2010

The two were “blown away” by Burton’s use of a wah-wah pedal and asked him to join Metallica. Hetfield and Mustaine wanted McGovney out as they thought that he “didn’t contribute anything, he just followed.” Although Burton initially declined the offer, by the end of the year he accepted on the condition the band move to San Francisco.

As far as metal goes, two words. Killswitch Engage.

Havent had a chance to see them live yet but have many of their albums.  If you want a really good band that few people have heard of, give a listen to a group called Mnemic.  Absolutely fantastic.  I have also been on a bit of a All That Remains kick lately.  Also, Austrian Death Machine is the awesome.

Bill, Hammet, Ulrich and Hatfield are all from LA.  That is where they formed.  They then moved to SF an then to NY.

Hmmm I’ll have to check those two out. I have one for you, if you haven’t heard them yet, August Burns Red. I’m on a All That Remains kick as well. I’ve had their newest album, Overcome, on repeat for about a month now.
