It’s pile on Tank Day. From the USA Today to the Sun-Times. From what I saw in Tinky’s column there was not one quote that could not have been gotten from the wire services.

Now personally I think Tank was stupid for what he did. Did he get special treatment so that he could go to the Super Bowl? You bet your ass he did. If he gets in real trouble it will not only bite the Bears in the ass, but also the judges who let him go.

That being said how can Tinky call anyone a hypocrite? That just amuses me to no end.

Tank hates violence yet he has guns. Tinky calls himself a columnist yet steals quotes from others. Not a great comparison, but then neither are any of Tinky’s.

How much play would this story be getting if Tank were white? Two theories; He would have been cut immediately, or there would not be this much media attention. Discuss.

I think you ought to move the “Jay the Joke” banner to the top and make the hot dog (Captain Viena?) are horizontal rather than vertical. As it is, when you click one of the links, you don’t know when page completes. Also there’s about a quarter of the right side of the page that’s empty.

I think that there wouldn’t be this much attention. Of all the columns I’ve read, in only Rick Morrissey’s column, did the quote that Tank realizes he’s brought the people calling him a thug on himself. It certainly wasn’t in (Tw)"it’s".

To Pat/Matt- the new design is nice, but I’d choose a different color (than Chicago flag blue) for the motif. It burns the corneas a bit. Maybe just use that blue along the side with a different color for the interior of each comment box.

To LittleMan- merely posing as a holier-than-thou columnist doesn’t make you any less of a racist and race-baiter.

In the name the sausage contest I think we have 2 different ways to go. We can either go for a heroic representation of all that is Chicago, or use it to mock the Tinky man.

Don’t take this the wrong way anyone but it amazes me that we get more comments about the LOOK of this blog and suggestions on how to make it’s appearance better than actual comments about F***tard and his articles.... and to Matt and Pat- I think the baby blue color is very nice-- soothing… somewhat gayish… very presidential...Boise colors…

Did anyone else have trouble getting to Tinky’s drivel this morning? Every time I went in through Explorer it closed me out when I clicked on Tinky’s column. I did get in through Netscape. Is it another conspiracy against the Internet Creatures or just a bad day for Explorer? Explorer worked on everything else.

I would have paid $1 million to see Tinky ask Tank directly if he should be on a shorter leash.  That really would have tested Tank’s contention that he couldn’t be baited by anything.  In fact, if he had killed the MDF on the spot, I’m sure it would have been ruled justifiable homicide.  No jury in the country would have convicted him.

Of course, Tinky was probably checking out the latte in Wilton Manors and was nowhere near Dolphin Stadium.

I like Captain Fuckdog. And, I like the new site layout. But I am wondering who the hell is feeding Tank his new philosophy. Sure, blaming the media is fun, but music? C’mon!
